
Central Finance Company PLC welcomes a new Chairman and two new Independednt Non Executive Directors to the Board. The new Chairman is Non-Executive Director Arjun Rishya Fernando with effect from 1 May 2025 , following the retirement of Asite Talwatte upon reaching the age of 70 years. Dr Mrs Damitha de Zoysa – Independent Non-Executive Director, also retired from the board with effect from 1st June 2025.
The two new Independent Non-Executive Directors are Ms Subhashini Harshi Munasinghe from 1 May 2025 and Dr. Nisha Kanthimathie Arunatilake De Silva from 1 June 2025.
S.H. Munasinghe is a finance professional with over 16 years of experience that includes more than 10 years within leadership roles driving quality, setting strategic direction, managing overall operations and monitoring budgets. She presently serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director on the board of directors of Bogawantalawa Tea Estates PLC and a Council Member at the University of Kelaniya. She had previously been the Chief Executive Officer of the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors and Director – Audit and Assurance at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Sri Lanka. Her experience includes working at Deloitte’s London Office, UK as well. She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) as well as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) and she holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics and Accounting from the University of Bristol, UK.
Dr. Arunatilake is a qualified economist with over 20 years of experience performing policy related economic research in the areas of public finance, education, health, employment and labour market policy analysis, both locally and internationally. Dr. Arunatilake is proficient in report writing, project/program evaluation, management, implementation, design and is also experienced in serving on policy committees. She is presently the Director of Research at the Institute of Policy Studies of Sri Lanka. He further serves on the Board of Trustees of the Dialog Foundation, a Research Fellow at the Partnership for Economic Policy and a Research Associate at CEQ Institute, Tulane University, New Orleans, USA. Dr. Arunatilake holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Duke University, Durham, North Carolina
CF also appointed Mr. Manjula Hiranya de Silva , who currently serves on the board as a Independent Non-Executive Director, as Senior Director with effect from 1st May 2025.
